Changing the System

North Camden Zone supports residents to make the changes they want to see locally and in the wider systems that affect them.

Our Theory of Change

North Camden Zone cultivates the conditions residents need to lead change. We think those those conditions are:

Stronger relationships in and across communities

We enable residents to connect through their shared interests, to encourage cooperation, collaboration and mutual aid.

Residents have more capacity to make changes in their own neighbourhood

We support residents to build their skills, knowledge and confidence to deliver practical changes in their neighbourhoods. Residents are able to produce ideas together and lead initiatives that will benefit their communities.

Unlock the assets, resources or services that can benefit a community

We build on the strengths, expertise and knowledge of residents and professionals to develop effective interventions, address faults in the system,  and unlock the assets that can help a community.

Strengthen the resident voice over their own neighbourhoods and wider systems

We bring residents and professionals together to highlight how and where the system is failing them. Together, we build a shared understanding of the goals of residents, and find opportunities for positive change. We want to shift more power into the hands of residents, giving them more control over their lives and the neighbourhoods in which they live.
